Bells Palsey part 2

by Chris / 3 years ago

It’s been a little over a month and I’d say I’m about 96% back to normal. Here are something’s I’ve learned from having Bells Palsey.

1.  Time and patience is the name of the game!

I’ve learned that I am stronger than I give myself credit for. Bells is hard to deal with. There were days that I was downright hopeless. The biggest thing about having a face stroke, or dealing with really anything for that matter, is to stay calm and don’t let your issues get the best of you. What’s ever going on in your life you will overcome it. Keeping yourself from going into a dark place is the best thing you can do.

2. Eyepatch it up.

Wear an eye patch for the first few weeks and slowly work on closing your eye. Plus you get to look like a pirate for a few days.

3. Exercise your face.

It looks really dumb when you are doing it but it’s vital to recovery.

3. Oils.

I know what you’re saying, “What do oils have to do with anything?” I didn’t believe that hippie-dippie stuff worked until it did. I’d say that was the thing that really kicked my recovery into high gear. Are some research here is what my wife put together for me. If you want to buy some Bells Palsey oil mixture let me know and I’ll hook you up homie.

Like I said having Bells Palsey sucks. There is no getting around it. I hope to never have it again but if I do then I know how to beat it. If you guys do or know someone please send them my way cause It’s definitely scary and the internet doesn’t help. Everything is like, “YOUR STOKING OUT!!!! GO TO THE ER NOW OR YOUR GOING TO DIEEE!!!!!” Okay so maybe not that dramatic but it’s close. Just don’t let it take your life away from you. Slap on your eye patch and rock it! Because at the end of the day you are more than your flaws. All you can do is accept them and carry on.
